To what depth should the crop residue be plowed into the soil and why?

Years of intensive agricultural production and inadequate management of the soil itself have led to a decrease in the level of humus in the soils of the Republic of Croatia, and recently more and more producers are becoming aware of this problem. Namely, harvest residues represent all plant material that is not the goal of the production of a crop, and after harvesting remains on the surface of the production unit. By introducing these materials into the soil, we achieve numerous advantages for future crops and microorganisms.
